ABOUT
Brian A. Witkin
Attorney at Law
BIO
Brian Witkin is an entertainment attorney who understands the law, the business, and the art of the entertainment industry because he is also an award winning musician and producer.
Brian is a lifelong musician and the son of Joe Witkin, the original keyboard player of Sha Na Na who performed at the iconic Woodstock Festival of 1969. When Brian found his talent to be on the business side as well as a performer, he oriented to the representation of artists in a business he built, Pacific Records.
Brian quickly found the representation of artists required legal as well as business guidance - and he became a licensed attorney. His clients today range from award winning songwriters and performers to music publishers, record labels, and film companies. Brian is also a GRAMMY® Voting Member of The Recording Academy and a contributor to the music publication The Troubadour, writing about music law related topics in his column “Music and the Law”.
Brian holds a JD degree from San Francisco Law School and is a member of The State Bar of California. He received an MBA and BA in History from National University.
Beyond entertainment, Brian also enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid surfer and photographer.
